Jack has some loading info for me but I am very interested in any experiences Whitworth, Encor64 or others have had with this caliber. Congratulations on the new revolver! Has Jack sent you the list of loads and chronograph data? There's over 25 loads and quite a few piwders and bullet weights and types on his list.

No, not yet. I am planning on getting that information from him in person when I pick up the revolver.

I've been playing with it for 2 years now. Tried several powders ranging from PowerPistol to IMR4198. PM me if you're interested in the details.

Any of you guys put these 475 specials to work on game since its inception?? (big game)
I'd be very curious to hear what that cartridge performs like.

I just asked Jack. He notes that one feral goat and one 450lb bison fell to the 475 Special at the Bovine Bash

Does Jack have any pictures of the S&W and ammo on his web site?

I have some photos of a S&W, somewhere. The ammunition is simply 475 at 44 Special length, with bullet weight and powder load appropriate for the system.

Any ballistic info on this yet?? I found some data. You're looking at about 1100 with a 220, about 1000 with the 350-375 It's right for a Smith and Wesson revolver
