Thanks yall. The 480 shoots good. Here is a target from when i was trying to get it sighted in. Fired the two at left, adjusted right and fired three. I ended up adjusting left and down after that. It shoots to POA now at 50 yards.

Also, Joe, when you have time, weigh that slug and take your calipers to diameter please. I'm keeping up with all of the ones we have recovered to get an average over time. Also, what is your muzzle Velocity in that load/gun. 1100 or so? Not sure on velocity. I need a chronograph. Measured 6 new bullets for a basis. 393 396 397x3 404 Recovered bullet weighs 392.3 grains!! That's awesome!! At widest point, it measures 0.821"!

Falls perfectly in line with the others we have recovered. Pretty much 100% weight retention, and the others were about .85-.93 on expansion. They were in hogs so had a little more resistance. I've only recovered one from a hog personally. The others I shot passed through. I would be willing to bet the hide on your deer was stretched loose on the offside if it made it there!

I've never had a jacketed bullet stay together that well.

Great job on that hand gunned buck Joe! It's amazing how exciting it is with a hand gun, makes you feel like a little kid at Christmas time. That cast bullet allowed you to take a difficult shot angle & make it work with great expansion. Congratulations!

Great job Joe! It is so exciting to walk up to a deer like yours when you know you did it the right way. Practice, persistence and patience on the trigger! Super job my friend!
