Tell us about the trigger guard. the gun started out as a squared back/dragoon grip framed super blackhawk. Mr. Huntington has this modification that he does with them. He rounds off and reshapes the squared back portion of the trigger guard. then he reshapes and extends the grip. this results in a grip frame with more relief between your knuckle and the trigger guard so you won't whack your knuckle. Possibly a solution to a problem that doesn't exist for some folks. i personally think it's an improvement to the SBH grip frame. I had never held one before and decided i'd take a chance with this modification. ~c.r.

Very nice! I have a Super Blackhawk and I just really don't like that grip. That is a nice solution. How long did you have to wait on this beauty to be done?

I sent the gun to Jack on 8/27 and it came back to me on 9/30.......so heck, ~5 weeks for everything. What Mr. Huntington does is he takes an outline drawing of your hand. (just lay your relaxed, strong hand on a piece of paper and trace around it.....similar to how little kids do so they can make turkeys from the outline of their hand) Somehow he uses that outline in how he modifies the grip frame and makes the grips.

Wow, that is no time at all as custom work goes. I just received my first revolver from Mr. Harton...20 months, but definitely worth the wait.

With Jack Huntington I have never waited longer than six months for a full custom. He's just wrapping up my .500 Linebaugh.......

He has the production advantage of not being a one man shop as some of the other 'smiths are.

I had to stare at that one a while. I don't know what it is about the barrel band but it really is nice. That is some beautiful work. Thanks for sharing it with us.
