The brass frame guns are like boat anchors. Beautiful to look at, not so much to carry. The Steel model is a pleasure to carry and shoot. I agree, the Big Boy Steel is comparable in size to the Marlin 94...So why all the hate for Henry? Marlin didn't scale down the 1894 action for the smaller 25-20 or 32-20 chambering's...Nor did Winchester for their 1892. My only real dislike for the Henry is the unnecessary & unattractive 1" thick recoil pad, who needs that for pistol cartridges?

If it doesn't catch on, they will discontinue them. Anybody that wants one probably should acquire one shortly after introduction.

My Marlin 1894 chambered in 32mag (mine is reamed out to 327) is great for small game and the 327 American Eagle 100 grain goes out at over 2100 fps. Like a 30 carbine without the muzzle flash of the M-1. About a thousand pounds of ME and negligible kick! The 1894 functions well on 32 S&W Long, 32 mag and 327 federal, without any mods other than reaming out the chamber an eighth of an inch. I too cannot wait for the 327 Henry!

Looks like I might need one to go along with my Single Seven.

I will have one of the steel framed, 16.5" round barrel models. I wish Henry would use a proper sized, tapered octagon barrel, but i bet they use the same blank for the 32 as they do the 45. That's the way they do the 357. And that's why they are so HEAVY!!
If i am not mistaken the Marlin 32s are smaller than the standard 94. I am also pretty sure they load like the Henry. That would be ideal!!
Or a Rossi 92 would be ideal. They are nice n light.

I understand. According to the email I recd back from Henry, you're right on track with the 327 Federal shipping.
I hope they hold to this.
I had a TC Carbine built as soon as the cartridge was announced. Its a mighty fine performer in a rifle.

Never messed with a Henry. Would love a 32 in a Rossi though.

I prefer the Henry Steel. Its about the size of a Marlin 1884 and allows normal scope mounting.
Not wild about the Henry Brass frame guns. Too much weight to carry around.
