First one arrived a couple of months back. Buyer brought it back to the range and let everyone shoot it. Nice little stainless steel 6 shot DOA revolver. Well engineered action. Our third copy arrived today. I put a few bucks down on it. It will need a nice piece of leather...

For those interested,,, the Friends of the NRA events in 2017 will have one of these in the standard package.

Size wise I'd say SP101. No manual trigger lock I know of. We whined about the price until we looked at the price of a premium S&W revolver and noted that the Kimber had better fit, finish, and trigger..

I forgot to include the SP101.
It looks very nice & to the best of my knowledge Kimber products are highly thought of.
Any idea if any of the internal parts are MIM?
Pretty neat to see someone produce a new D/A revolver.

Saw my first KS6 Kimber 357. Action is fantastic. Feels in the hand like a Smith 640. Size very close to Colt DS! Gonna get one!

We had one come through the shop for the next Walla Walla Friends of NRA banquet. I was prepared to be disappointed based on a few "lemon" 1911s I've seen Kimber produce, but it was very, very well built.
I sued to carry Detective Specials quite often, and am never far from a couple of J-frames. That little Kimber really was impressive enough to save my pennies.

Obviously, I'm the outlier ... I'm underwhelmed. Of course, no one should care about that.

Their webpage is claiming "The worlds lightest 6 shot 357 Magnum Revolver". Seems the good folks at Kimber are forgetting about the Colt Magnum Cary at 21 oz empty.

Pick one up... Look it over, dry fire it... If you are a snub nose revolver fan I think you will be impressed. I've owned a few Colt detective specials and a bunch of J frame S&Ws. I bought the first Kimber I had the option to buy..

How well defined are the front & rear sights?
Looks like a big improvement over the fixed J-Frame sights.

My wife has one earmarked at our local gun shop as soon as they get theirs from the distributor.

The Wife huh? Sounds like a smart woman. FWIW a local gun buddy was looking for a DA revolver that his wife could shoot. When he picked up an old Colt Detective Special he knew it was the one. He says this Kimber is as good as the colt if not better.

My wife is as sharp as they come (she's a doctor) and she can shoot. Generally a 1911 girl (she has 4), but likes to carry a wheel gun
