I am not sure at all about it being the only 25-20 in existence because of emails with Hamilton Bowen and myself in discussion of a conversion of my single six. But it could easily be the only one that John has built. It is a fine looking specimen, and I would bet that it shoots too. Yeah - that statement is pretty outlandish. There are more than a couple Bowen .25-20 single action revolvers out there. I had one and it was a dandy.

It may shoot to POA but not with different loads.........
In that chambering I'd want to shoot light and heavier bullets.
Just not for me.

the guy had it listed at 4k last time he tried to sell it. I have a feeling his reserve is right around there..

I may get back in on it but I have two customs finishing up. That would be a fun little gun.

Funny, throwing quarter inch pills down the field requires a front sight as tall a gingersnap. Can't gut a deer with that one

Guys guys guys. Here's my logic. Let's say that TODAY, you decided to commission a build like the one above. You would be 2 years or more out. If this one flips your switch get after it. You can do a payroll loan or deduction and ENJOY your sixgun while you pay for it. Beats waiting by a country mile! Not to derail or hi-jack, but does anyone remember Bank of Boulder running ads in the back of Sports Afield offering shiny Weatherby's as paid now interest for a loan?

I hadn't thought about that bank gun deal in a long long time.

Might sound fatalistic but it's not always the same with time.

I was just telling my son about the weatherby's CD loan guns the other day when I saw one for sale at a small shop inside this guys auto parts store. I remember those ads the more money you gave the better grade rifle you got.

My OM S6 2mag shoots so good at 25yards that I don't know if I could use it for a base gun, but I would use a a new mid-frame 357 for it, plus a little more weight balances better for me with heavier loads. Sometimes S6 or SS6's just feel to big for 22's & to small for anything bigger.
