Didn't want to bunny trail the magazine thread ! So, Lehmans and Duluth Trading. I haven't gotten one in some years now, but Dixie Gunworks worthy. Ugly Dog for bird hunting and dog stuff. Midway sale flyers show up here regularly.

In my younger years, I was nuts about catalogs. I used to pour over them constantly. Not so much any more. I reckon the internet has replaced all that. I do try to get the Dixie Gun Works catalog every time I go up there. These days I do most of my browsing in magazines like Handloader, Sporting Classics and Double Gun Journal while I smoke a cigar and drink coffee or wine on the porch. The SCI and DSC publications are pretty good for that too. I'm a bonified Southern porch monkey!

I'm a catalog kind of guy. So I have Cabelas, Mid South shooters supply, Natchez, Mack's Prairie Wings, Sinclair, Midway USA, Predator Calls and Filson. If it involves shooting or hunting I'll take a look. And I do buy from all of them. I do the serious research online but thumb through the catalogs for ideas.

Catalogs are the proper reading material to take in, or have on hand, in the bathroom. I have one of my books from our John Taffin on top of them to help keep them orderly and flat ! Will wonder off a bit here and google up some of the catalogs you folks mentioned above that I didn't yet know of. Thanks !

OK, so while I have you catalog guys attention..where best to look for wool pants for field use ? I don't want Filson or other huge buck ones. Heck, be happy to find Mil-Specs anymore more, Wore out 4-5 pairs of them when I was backpacking and climbing. Johnson were less pricey,, have to do some googling I guess.

Do get Sportsmans Guide, just occurred to me to just call them or view online for further available stuff. Have not seen wool pants in the mailed catalogs that I can remember. Thanks

Always kept the Sears catalog in the outhouse.
Now I'm forced to buy that new fangled rolled crappin' paper.
What is this world coming to?

For wool field pants I generally hit up the Army Navy surplus stores. I would love Filson wool pant but not at the new prices. I wear the double tin pants but they are not warm. You might consider ebay for used filson wool pants. If you know what you are looking for and stay on top of it, you can steal a deal sometimes.

Definitely Ebay for Filson Wool.
I have a pair of Filson wool camo pants for sale. Not sure of the size but I can look if you are interested.

McMaster-Carr was one of my favorites when I still read paper catalogues
