I have a SOCOM from when they first came out. Back when I used to take training classes I took a carbine class. Mind you it's in a small berm, three sides of dirt. Everyone's got AR's, one AK, and me. Guys five feet left or right down the line and I shot 800 rounds that day. It was awesome. not so much for either guy next to me. Beautiful gun you have there sir. PS, that's back when you could get M118LR from Cheaper than Dirt for about fifty cents a round. Coulda shoulda..... 800 rounds in a day is some serious shooting when you're talking .308

That's a great looking gun. It makes me wish Ruger would have got the XGI gun right.

MK my shoulder looked like a bad steak you forgot about in the fridge. You can have Springfield do the trigger for about 45 bucks if I recall if you have any aversion to it. Popped mine out, sent it in and I was VERY pleased.

Groo here I have an "old" Super match. Springfield made it up for me when they were at OGCA [Vets memoral] they would not say what it would group offical like BUT, I did get them to admit, " If you sand bag it in , use a good scope and federal match--- and it will not group in an inch and a half--- stop shooting , pack it up and send it back IT'S BROKEN!!!!!!!!!"
