I am very curious about the .243 with 7.5" twist. I think this has been kind of a down fall of the .243--previously slow twist barrels--I think this is why the 6mm Remington went by the wayside. that heavy twist will allow long, heavy bullets (105 berger hybrid and 115 berger vlds) to be stable in flight.

There is a gun shop in West Louisville KY that has a 375 H&H Ruger #1 that I drool over when I go there.

I almost bought a 375 HH year's back, just talked myself out of it iirc... I say, Quit drooling and bust out some Benjamin's, take that baby HOME! BigBore44

44mag would be my choice, also a 454, 475, & 500mag would be awesome.

I wish it were that easy. Fund are allocated for other projects. Someday I will. Just not this one.

44mag would be my choice, also a 454, 475, & 500mag would be awesome. They made a few in 475 Linebaugh / 480 Ruger. I have one and they are excellent. I agree on your caliber choices.

Hands down the 275 would rule. The 7mm bullets have a very good coefficient. I am curious of the twist for the 6.5 CM and I like the idea of the 28 " tube. I would not want to settle for less than a 26" Thanks Jason this is good news..

The 7x57mm catches my eye but unfortunately there are other irons in the fire at the moment, namely a 257 J.R. with the good Mr. Harton. It'll be one to keep an eye out for on gunbroker though.

Would love a 44 magnum to comply with Indiana deer hunting laws

The .44 Magnum would make a dandy GA woods rifle. Action plenty strong enough for heavy bullets and loads, but could also be easily rechambered to .445 SM if one wanted more horsepower.
