loads tested with 5 1/2” Ruger Bisley Blackhawk: Lee 452-300GC (wheelweight) powder coated and sized .452 13.0/HS6 + Fed 150 Match (1070 avg FPS) 22.0/W296 + CCI 350 (1220 avg FPS) my 50 yard shooting was awful with known loads, just showing 25. loads burned powder cleanly, powder coating again proved a clean barrel.

S&W 69. Just popping jugs at varying ranges. .44 Mag Starline brass, 250 grain Matt’s HP, 6.5 gr W231, Fed large pistol primer. Continues to be an accurate, easy to shoot, clean load in the short barrel gun. Leading has not been an issue at all at this level.

25 yards off bags first two shot’s touched, then the “flyer” essentially the same thing at 50 yards, first two shots stacked, then one off elsewhere on the target. i blame the shooter for the third shot on both occasions

Shot a long range 22 match Sunday 100 to 300 yds. Winds were real switchie all day at 4 to about 10 mph . Shot rifle awhile then switched to the Cricket pistol. With the 4x Weaver scope on the Cricket I run out of adjustment at two hundred but up to there did well. Having to hold over, and hold wind at 250 and 300 is tough. More scope and a new 25 to 30 minute base are going to happen. Have a piece of uncontoured, undrilled base 12 in long to make it from already.

10mm Single Six
I got some of the 220gr hard cast bullets and a Lee Factory Crimp Die. Figured I'd see how much Accurate No9 I could fit in there.
Brisk!

Son and I shot the silhouette match at Crittenden Ky. Son shot a 37 with his Chipmunk .22, I shot a 38 with my TC. He shot a 37 in big bore with his TC 7-30 Waters I shot a 40 with my Striker .308. I got shots in both wrists on Monday [arthritis, getting old] felt like someone hitting my thumb with a bat every shot with the 308 ,but what's a little pain when your having fun shooting with the boy.

Back at it with the Single Six and the 220gr load. From what I'm seeing over the chronograph, those hard cast bullets are cruising!

Back at it with the Single Six and the 220gr load. From what I'm seeing over the chronograph, those hard cast bullets are cruising! I'm confused. What caliber are you shooting in a Single Six with 220 grain bullets? 10mm, 41 Special? OK, I went and did a search. 10mm. COOL!

Still at it with the Single Six in 10mm I'm pretty much constantly busy with guns that aren't mine, but I sometimes get a bit of time to fiddle with my projects. Working on loads that I want to keep as standards, and working on sight regulation for a set of loads. Figuring out what I want to do with the front sight. Might thin it a bit. Might just mill a thin slot in the face and give it a vertical white center line. Target steel at 100 yards

Had the old Western Field Model 37 and the Winchester Model 1906 out in the back yard for a little can carnage. Used CCI .22 CB Short Low Noise ammunition, which fires a 29gr LRN at a listed 710 fps. Out of the long-barreled Model 37 it sounds like a BB gun, and from the 1906 it sounds like a kid's pellet rifle. I need more of this ammo...

They also make a "long" version. Same velocity. Some guns feed better with the long and it does not foul the front end of the chamber.

Got out to a local Steel Challenge Match yesterday. Had a pretty good time and happily placed in the middle of the pack with my new CZ P-09.
I've since switched out the decocker to the manual safety (pistol comes with both). I had a lot of first round misses with the long double action pull that thing has. Nothing like shooting under a little pressure to figure out what works and what doesn't.
