Got out today for a couple of hrs. Keystone Cricket pistol .22 lr 4x Leoupold. Model 503 Savage .22 mag [looks like the Striker pistol] 3x9 Vortex rifle scope, Ruger single Six open sights, and a 10 in T C 357 Max. Resetting sights to 100 yds on Cricket after last Saturday's 200 yd steel shooting. Savage .22 mag likes 50 gr Federals, not so much the 30 gr. Still working with the max,it seems to want something around 180 gr. Nice day, no one else at the range and no rain.

After some quick searching, I guess it's going to turn out to be, good luck finding one!

Found mine at a pawn shop. Out cruising with son and friend hitting every gun shop we came across. Good way to spend the day but hard on the wallet, although I got a good buy. LOL Check out the .22 Cricket[synthetic stock] and Chipmunk [wood stock]by Keystone and they come in .22 mag also. With a little trigger work they are a ball to shoot, son has the wood I have synthetic. My 308 Striker,503 .22 mag, and .22 Cricket all have left hand bolts so a familiar feel for me.

Took out another gun from the mothballs! My old USFA Rodeo 5 1/2 inch .45 Colt! It's been sitting in the safe for SEVEN YEARS! Scandalous! Also worked on refining my house load for my 4-inch Model 629. I haven't checked the velocity yet but the goal is about 1000 fps. Six shots offhand at 35 feet. Bullet: Speer 200 gr. Gold Dot Powder: Alliant Herco 9.5 grs. Primer: Federal 150 Case: PMC .44 Magnum

Not yet mind you, but with a niece, and 2 great nieces here from Va., the range will go HOT ! later this afternoon. I usually give them each a sheet of cardboard and let them draw their own targets. A Single-Six, a 22/45, and a 10-22 and a brick of ammo will come out to play. After everyone chooses from the box of safety glasses and the box of ear muffs. I'll likely pull something in 44 spec out.

A Glock.
Shot a Glock 19 & 43, plus a Sig 320. First time I've ever shot a Glock. Not bad, but I liked the Sig more. Nicer trigger.

The nieces and I went thru a 300rd pack of the CCI Patriot 22 ammo. Poly coated stuff. Fired thru a Single-Six and a 22/45. Not a single failure, of any kind with this ammo yesterday.

Heard SIGs are nice never shot one, but on the Glock, once you learn the spot in the trigger that it breaks, it feels consistent. You can polish internals but generally they wear in from use.

Shot our little 3” J frame 327 Fed Mag. I love the 3” J frames with adjustable sights and really want a 357 Model 60.
