wonder if that trigger is a roller bearing - free spinning. no side-to-side pushing. ***** Sean.... doubt Philip Braud wants a roll-around trigger on his gun. My image of a roll-around trigger: gruesome distraction with fierce potential to derail STRAIGHT-BACK SQUEEZE. More likely, the narrow trigger facilitates FEEL of a very light break----perhaps a pound, probably less. David Bradshaw

awp101, don't take a bolt gun Pistola to a rifle shoot. A story I have heard from a couple of the guys from the early IHMSA days. Someplace around or near Branson Mo had a rifle silhouette club. The pistol boys were game to give it a try. They called and asked and were told to come on down if you think you can hit anything. Long story short. By the end of the match the handgunners were way ahead. Both of these gents have told me a target was never rang by one of the handgun guys, including Rams. All of them were laying on the ground, which the rifle shooters gave the OK too in the beginning. After all was said and done the big gripe was they could do just as well if they were allowed to lay down prone. Then it was noted the handgunners were iron sighted and not scoped. My mentor then grabbed up his XP, approached the line, declared it HOT. Standing up, he took aim and knocked over a ram. There was little said after that. And, they were not invited back.
I don't declare myself any kind of great shot by any means. But there is a certain individual that called me out on handgun performance. One shot apiece until the target was hit and whom ever was closest to center was the winner. Loser forfeited his gun to the winner. The gent had a 7 mag I used my 7TCU. Distance was unknown to any one. Guy drove across a soybean field and set the target up. I was prodded into going first as the wanted me to shoot more than once. First shot was about 2" off of center. The 7mag guy came up,nervous as all get out. He looked, tweaked a knob, looked again tweeked a knob, bang high and right miss. He swore he shot through the steel plate and the bullet bounced off the ground afterwards. Well about three pickups loaded with guys went down and looked, not a scratch on the plate. Me being a sarcastic smart alec, I said that 7mag must have blown clean through so fast it healed up behind the bullet. Everyone laughed except one. The clown never would hand over the rifle. Oh distance and target, plates was 1" thick 13" round, distance give or take was around 350ish yards. So never take an SP to a rifle shoot, invited or not.
If it had not been for IHMSA and the fine folks that shoot it, I would still be among the non believers. Jeff

I am just seeing this, or else I would have answered sooner. This is my XP - the trigger and linkage are made by Mike Dewey in California. The trigger assy. can be safely adjusted down to about 2 oz. - mine is about 4-5 oz. The trigger shoe is basically a round piece of tubing, with a flattened side. The trigger hanger has multiple mounting holes so that the length of pull can be adjusted to suit the shooter. This XP was built by Clay Spencer.
