Great story love the boys Winchester's, I just fixed a broken win model 67A boys rifle I bought non functioning, still works fantastic for a gun made that long ago.

The second grader (Cooper) ended up getting quite a few more than his brother because most of them were on his side of the truck. I said, Cooper, you are a really good shooter & he said, YUP! This is me & Cooper with one of the big, fat female's. If you ever handle a ground squirrel you always want to have gloves on, them carry some bad disease's. She's still packing young one's. The land owner assured me that there were at least 500 squirrels within one mile of what you can see behind me & in a few days when those female's bring the babies up there will be a lot more.....me, the boys & the badgers will be waiting. Don't get me started on the transgender stuff. I live near Trashville,,,,, eerrrr Asheville NC that has more than it's share of "alternative lifestyle" folks there. As such,,, with our new law, HB2, the Trashville news station (Wlos 13) has been awash with all these folks & their opposition to it.
Never seen any transgender Badgers or any other critter.

Oh..where's the Crocs ? Whore mine all weekend in the northern ANF,except when in waders chasing Brookies in Kinzua Creek, but no varmints seen due to cold and rain. Well, except for the lounge in the Inn, but can't shoot them.

Oh, I had my trusty Croc's on, gotta be fast when you're badger hunting. I'm heading back out today & see if one of them one's to tangle. I'll get lots of squirrels no matter what.

Looks like you guys are having a splendid time. I sure am happy to see you passing on the knowledge and skills to your grandkids, Dick. I surely envy you and them! Nothing like spending quality time with family, and doing some shootin surely makes it the more sweeter...

Those of you making comments about your eyes, I hear you! My eyes are bad, my group shooting days are over. Most of the time I have to shoot with my left eye even though I'm shooting right handed because the sights are blurry. Age, diabetes & glaucoma have really made it tough with iron sights. I have scopes on 3 of my handguns now although I hate it, I've always liked good old iron sights on my sixguns. Most days at the range I'll get 4 out of 5 in there but 5 is almost impossible, other days the right eye see's the best, go figure. Yesterday I had 4 in .770" & 5 in 2.124" at 25 yds using one of the 327's.
Markbo, actually I'm smiling all the time 24/7, but in a photo, for whatever reason I seem to be pretty serious, don't know why. I'm always in a good mood, especially when I'm out chasing something which is almost everyday. If I just had young eyes life would be great, but it still beats anything in second place. And, as always any of you are welcome to stop in anytime to visit, shoot, go for a ride, etc. 10 minutes in any direction & we are in good country.
