Congratulations on a great shot. What load did you use? gjn, That was a JT load using 22.0grs of #9 for the Freedom Arms only. The bullet is running 1745fps from my 10" model 83....
Can you share some more specifics of the hunt, like the state, outfit and such..? BigBore44
That hunt took place at Tioga in north central Pennsylvania, just below the NY border. There are other places in Penn. to hunt but this is one of the better ones. Being a handgun hunter in NJ is the loneliest job in the country. I HAVE to leave the state to drop the hammer on an animal with my handguns. Most of you guys live in gun friendly states so a ranch like Tioga is a God-send for me. Thanks for your good words................

Way to go James, you make me proud using that 41 magnum. 1745 fps, that bullet probably hasn't landed yet!! Yikes!! I'm pretty sure I would be spooky too if I knew you were hunting me with that scoped laser. Nice going, now get out here & whack some ground squirrels & chucks before its too late.

I have been talking about going to Tioga for Boar's with my father now for a couple of years. It sounds like I better get there before that guy from NJ, has'em all shot off Maybe we could make a plan to meet up sometime when you're fixin to go again...?? Thanks Ray

If I knew far enough in advance, I'd be in for a trip to Tioga. It's 2 hours from me.

I also use a 210gr Swift A-frame that is almost equal in accuracy but runs about 75fps slower..............Photo of recovered Swift
