Here's a Bauernwehr set I just completed. Bauernwehr translates to 'farm knife,' Can you touch on the function of the poker? I don't have a good sense of how big this stuff is, physically. Was that an awl or a tool for dispatching livestock or ...??

Was that an awl or a tool for dispatching livestock or ...?? The Bauernwehr has a 13-7/8" blade, and the bye-knife has a 4-3/4" blade. The Bodkin (the poker) is unusually long... you might say it's an 'odd bodkin...' The bodkin's main function is for poking holes in stuff for utilitarian purposes- leather etc., or even for use as a small marlinspike for splicing cord, but there are literary references to them being used as a weapon.
