I have lots of 10/22s Craig and one loaded up like yours, though it looks different. Consider a laser. Especially in the dark a red laser will put you on spot (visible) out to 75-100yds. Have to check your laws of course but here as long as its not a game animal its OK to use.
You can go with the TLR-2 or a cheaper stand alone laser. I found a really small one on Amazon for about $60 that works fine

I'm thinking about putting the TLR-2 on my 22/45. If that does a good job, I'll think about one for the rifle too.

I hate the things. Usually just shoot them with whatever handgun is handy. The ones here are not real smart. At night looks like a fire ant mound moving around from a distance. Just figure out the direction it is going and walk that way. When it gets a few yards away shoot it. When I'm lazy a 22 rifle with a light and good scope works, instead of walking just shoot. Friend put a lazer on a 22, just put the dot center mass and shoot. There is not a greedy bone in my body. Anyone that loves and wants them can have them all.

MagWm That looks like a good Dillo'r Get'er, or Any Pesky Critter Get'er actually Photobucket goes WONKY at times. It's frustrating when the pics go cattywampus : ESPECIALLY since I'm not as limber as I used to be, so standing on my head gets old Real QUICK!!! LOL( BigBore44

Grub worm eating beasties! Dang yard is full of holes. The positive is that yellow jacket nest that they dug up and ransacked. Locals say that the things tear up live traps pretty quick. Dropped off a 10 inch bull 22 LR TC barrel to be threaded for a can. Living out in the county we can shoot in the yard if are safe and don't disturb the neighbors. May have the underside of the barrel D&T for a rail for a laser. So how far out are you? Been trying to get my wife interested in retiring over in that direction and I got a solid "NO!" Not sure why, I've always liked the H'ville area....

They are pests! I prefer my little single-six .32mag. I can reload .32's cheaper than I can buy .22's. Used to shoot a lot of them as a teenager with various .22LR handguns. Always seemed to run, at least for a little ways. My .38 Spl and .45 acp would put them down, but my little .32 SWL was my favorite. Now that I have a little .32 mag SS, I need to test it on these critters!

500 Smith lever gun, 375 grain BIG hollow point cast at 2000fps. Range was 20 feet, chunks went everywhere!!!!!! Can't happen to a more deserving critter.
