Oh my Lord. This great man passing is a huge deal. What a tragedy. This is a cataclysmic event; having an incalculable ripple effect into the future of our nation. A true patriot and constitutionalist. They simply don't make 'em like this anymore.
I am truly concerned about his replacement...

Can you say "worst case scenario"?? This is the worst news since zerOBAMA was elected in 2008. My condolences for the Scalia family...and even more so for this country. Wonder which muslim zerOBAMA will nominate in his place?

I have already sent an email to Mitch McConnell's office telling him to stall any Obama appointment until after the next Pres election. I suggest everyone here do the same thing and tell everyone they know to do it also. The Senate does NOT have to confirm any appointment. They will do it to get along, but they don't have to and if enough pressure is on them, maybe they will delay.

Mitch and others have already declared it a no-go.
I hope they keep a video camera on zerOBAMA....I'll give $20 for the clip of his head exploding...

I will miss him, a great American, and pray for his family and our great nation. Few are the souls that have the courage to defy tyrany. Another is gone...

Crap. He's sorely needed and will be sorely missed. What a tragedy.

If pressure is not kept on McConnell and others they will cave I fear. All it takes is for Odumbo to put someone up like another woman or person of color and the Repubs will cave in fear of appearing to be racist, bigot, homophobes. Like always. No balls. I would love it if they were to prove me wrong. On the other hand, Bush got Roberts in and he is mostly a fink!

As noted,,, we all need to get VERY active in contacting our Senators about this. Even the anti-gun ones. Especially the anti-gun ones. Scream, howl, get others to let them know we will not stand for more erosion of our rights by the appointment of an anti-American justice.

The noise out of Congress indicates they will obstruct, like always, no matter who the President nominates. He could nominate David Duke and they'll obstruct.

Any cowardly weasel can obstruct. There is no honor in being an obstructionist. It takes integrity to stand up and negotiate constructive progressive bipartisan legislation. The GOP has been in the business of regressive obstructionism for too long now and it's causing tremendous damage to our country. Such morally corrupt action is nothing short of treasonous.

Spoken like a true liberal! Hope you enjoy it when the libtards you would vote for come for your guns! Key giveaway word here is "progressive". Tells me all I need to know about a guy.

Key giveaway word here is "progressive". Progressive: ORIGIN early 17th cent.: from French progressif, -ive or medieval Latin progressivus, from progress- ‘gone forward,’ from the verb progredi (see progress). Compare to regressive. Spoken like a true liberal! If "liberal" is something different than that which has been representative of Congress' obstructionist actions the past 10 years, I'll take it as a compliment.
