I am probably not the right European to ask ....Most of my fellow "countrymen" prefer a Democrat in the White House. Doesnt really matter which. They even gave Obama the Nobel Peace Prize - and I am still to find out exactly what he did to deserve that....
However - If I was an American I would probably prefer some sort of "breed" between Trump and Sanders. The backbone of any country - yours too - are the honest, hard working, tax-paying people and those two candidates seem to be the only ones adressing the concerns of these people. Trump because he is brutally honest AND an "Americans first" kind of guy. Sanders because elements of his politics could actually make life better for you... (others would ruin you).
I am from Denmark - the country Sanders always refer to as "perfect". Well - its not. But even though his opposition makes us out to be almost "communists" - Denmark still is one of the richest countries in the world - and not a socialist state. Throw in a pinch of Trump in the Danish welfare state - (He is the only candidate with a backbone) - and we might have a little less STATE and a lot more FREEDOM - which is what we all want...
One things for sure. You dont need more multi-billionaires. USA may be the richest and most succesful and most powerful country in the world. But the succes of society or standard of living in a country cannot be measured by the number of dollar-billionaires. In fact - many of the countries with most billionaires are borderline 3rd world countries like China, India, Russia - countries with millions and millions of hard working - DIRT POOR citizens living under apalling conditions in corrupt dysfunctional societies.
Seen from my perspective - the other candidates ... Hillary, Cruz, Rubio - are business as usual. If you are happy with what you already have - vote for one of them. I dont think it matters much which....
So - after this way too long tirade - your question. Who would I vote for. Whoever the republicans eventually come up with, thats who I would vote for (even if I didnt like him ). Unfortunately the only vote I will ever cast will not be for who will be the next president of USA. It will be for the next spineless, gutless, smallminded, mentally corrupt cheapscate who will become the next Prime Minister in this small country of mine called "Denmark".
