I see Brownell's has fully fluffed up DPMS AR lowers with the A4 style stock on sale. High Standard makes a 300 BO upper that is reasonable.. I'm thinking I'll build one.

As someone that reads this forum, but rarely posts, we are a Black-Out loving family. The Barnes 110 with a dose of H-110 is a lightening bolt on our Virginia white tails. It has acceptable power while being very efficient. Put a suppressor on it and load subsonics, and it gets "Hollywood Quiet". We have several ARs and bolt guns in this caliber. It is a sweet cartridge that is catching on. I only wish it was still called the 300 Whisper, because J.D. Jones did all the initial leg work. Mobjack

I have a 16" Wilson Combat barreled one and I just bought a 12.5 inch AAC barrel from Natchez for $180 that already has the $100 suppressor mount on it so it looks like I am going to have another.

I have a 300 Whisper on a TC Contender along with a SSK can, (Suppressor). I 'am in the middle of building a Whisper on a Model 7 also a 16.25" barrel. I cannot wait until I finish putting it together. My Contender is a dream to shoot, so much so that I'm thinking of going through the steps to purchase another can. And of course I'll buy it from SSK. Hollywood quite yep it's the truth.

We using 556 brass to make cases? Anybody use 223? I know from loading the TCU cartridges that case capacity of the mil spec case is significantly less than the 223.

We using 556 brass to make cases? Anybody use 223? I know from loading the TCU cartridges that case capacity of the mil spec case is significantly less than the 223. We have been forming 300 Black Out cases from LC 556 brass. My process consists of: 1) Chopping the cases to rough length, basically cutting at the shoulder. 2) De-priming. 3) Tumbling, I like to clean the cases before I run them through the dies. I believe it saves wear and tear on the dies. 4) Lube the cases. 5) Sizing. 6) Trimming to length. 7) Deburring. 8) Load/seat bullet. It sounds like a lot of work, but I get the cases free of charge, and I find the process relaxing. I bought a Harbor Freight mini chop saw to cut the cases with. We went with a Little Crow WTF case trimmer. I bought an RCBS micrometer .308 caliber bullet seater and a extended #10 shell holder. Some times I get carried away, but it's cheaper than chasing women, safer too. I'm not sure if I have reloaded any of the factory brass. That way if I lose a home-made case I don't feel so bad, I hate to lose factory cases. I don't figure my time in case forming, it's better than watching Dancing with the Stars. I hope that was a little help. Mobjack

That is about the process I had in mind. I plan to add another step and run them through the Dillon Primer Pocket Swaging Tool. Of course if I took the time to set up my 1050 that would be covered. Currently plan to use a 550 loader.

I need to get off my butt and get a Dillon or two. I read the Blue Press every month, but I load on my old Rockchucker. I'm sure you are aware, now you can trim the Blackout case to length using the Dillon trimmer. That will speed things along. Mobjack

My old Rockchucker has a permanent home here at my house. The Dillon loaders have good homes here too.. I've got the Harbor Freight cutoff tool I bought for another extensive case trimming project.

Do you really think it will ever be for sale?? You would take it home and have the barrel threaded for a suppressor and just make me mad...
