Our latest LFN is a 380 gr .45-caliber. The mold arrived weeks ago but I haven’t had time to cast any: It’s proportionally identical to our 290-.410”, 445-.475”, and 585-.510”: These will be poured three ways: 1) Straight linotype 2) Lyman #2 lubed and gas checked 3) Lyman #2 powder coated I’m eager to see which, if any, shoots best at 100 yards. I’ll also send some to David Bradshaw in hopes he’ll sling them to 200. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

For the PC Lee, not sure if you plan to GC or not? But I would, as some mold designs, or guns, will shoot fine, while others not so. Overall, GC designed cast slugs shoot best with GCs when PC.

cmillard – Mountain cut the mold. Jeff – yep, these will get gas-checked. My last lube groove is tall so it’ll need support. Markbo – I’ll shoot these in the 5-shot .45 Colt at the top of the page. Dad also just finished a .454 Casull which is identical (unfluted Bisley, 6” barrel, post sight). The only difference is his is all blue. That too will get 380’s in Colt brass. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

I may want to try some in my Bowen Nimrod. Thanks

Haven't cast any yet. I pour mine in the driveway and it's been awful cold of late. Hopefully I can get some made when the weather warms-up. Stay tuned...I'll be sure to post how they shoot. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

I'd like to run it in a long-cylindered 45 Colt, but I suspect that some might want to try it in the standard 5.5-inch Bisley. I figure H110 would be the powder of choice.

Start at 19.0 grains of H110 and work up. Depending on the brass, you'll cap out around 20.5. Velocity will be about 1,200 fps. If you order the 380 gr LFN mold shown above, try them at 50 and 100 yards. They fly good. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"
