I have always thought that the LCR in s 6 shot, .32 Mag would be the Detective Special of the New Millenium.....I'm going to get one....

We have the 22 LR, 22 Mag, 9mm, 38 Special, and 357 Mag LCRs for customer use on the range. While the rimfire versions make nice stepping stones, the centerfire versions can still be challenging for many people that come in to try them. The new 32 bore gun will be a blessing.

How do you guys think the recoil will be in this setup? Second and seperate question, where does it set with the existing calibers?

More recoil than the rimfire LCRs and less that a good self defense load from the other centerfire LCRs. While the current off the shelf 327 stuff will make for a fire breathing LCR I'd expect some tailored short barrel self defense 327 ammo to be on the horizon. Lots of 32 S&W Long and 32 mag ammo already sitting out there too..

I'm thinking a Hornady 100 grain xtp or Speer Gold Dot at about 1200 fps would be about right.
The 115 grain GD runs 1300 fps from a SP101, 3"and would be in the fire breather category.

Anyone know why they make the 38 in 3" but not the 357?

Anyone know why they make the 38 in 3" but not the 357? So you will buy the .38 now and then they can sell you the .357 later!

Appears to me that this would be an ideal pistol to keep in coat / jacket pocket...

I picked up a 327 LCR yesterday. I never thought I'd own a polymer revolver, but the darn thing is so light and the DOA trigger pull is pretty darn good. I haven't shot it yet, but will this weekend. I think it will make a dandy coat pocket gun.
I have a few hundred rounds loaded with 12grns of H110 under a 100gr XTP that I shoot out of my custom 5shot Single-Six. Does anyone have an opinion on whether these will be too hot for the LCR?
