Very nice. Congratulations. Love the bullets.
About 20 years ago, my daughter, who was in High School at the time, drew a coveted Montana moose tag. We spent 6 weeks chasing "bullwinkle". Even though she ate the tag, it was a great father/daughter bonding experience and one of my fondest memories. She had plenty of chances, but was holding out for a decent bull. Didn't see any horns on the last day of the season so the tag went unfilled.

Congrats! Season ends here the 20th or 25th depending on the area. Looks like I'm gonna miss out this year. I've been doing some medical treatment which is a good thing but it's keeping me from moose hunting. Thankfully we've still got moose in the freezer from last year and sheep from this year.

Very interesting bullet, did you have to turn a rim off the existing case before forming your bullets. They look like they are very well made, congratulations! I've been in on a lot of moose & its a great hunt. Probably seen 300-400 moose in my lifetime & most were within 50 miles of where I live.

Excellent shooting. Moose hunting is a ton of fun plus the meat is excellent. We just finished off the last package of moose meat in the house. The only way I will get more is if somehow I get lucky in the moose permit lottery next year.

There is not much machining involved in making those, cut and trim the cases to the right length then aneal them and run them through a ring die and the jacket of the bullet is ready to use. We made the decision to give the meat of this one to the land owners so it will not go to my freezer, but we have two bulls and one calf hanging in the cooler so there will bee meat Happy hunting to all Math

Hi again Today was a great day, was placed on a road site that i did not have much fate in but as i was warming myself over my small fire ( we had -1c) and sitting for about 1 hour when i hear a great racket of antlers against saplings and tvigs breaking from across the road, then i start too se a little of those antlers, and makes up my mind that if i have a decent chance at a shoot i vill take it when he pases the road. The resulting shot was a rakin one on his left side and he bullet stopped against the hide just behinde the left shoulder taking out the lungs on the way he went about 70m. 8 points on each side and weighing in at 284kh butchered I am a happy hunter

Great job Mathias! I always love seeing pictures and reading stories of hunting in other parts of the world. When the moose was coming, was he being moved by dogs? I see the dog in the picture ad I assume you were not setting on a stand with the pet pooch just hanging out for companionship. Curious how hunting techniques vary from one part of the world to another.
Congratulations on a great hunt and good shooting!

Yes he was moved by the dog, we are 12 hunters, three who owns dogs trained for moose, we choose a area we like too hunt and post around it and let the dogs loose. Best case senario the dog finds a moose and makes him stand still so he how handels the dog can stalk in and get too shoot. Regards Mathias
