True I love Veral's molds but they are not hollowpoint not are they brass. Not saying one is better than the other but they are not the same molds for sure.

Ya I hear ya. I've casted with quite a few different moulds from different manufacturers made from different metals and the one I dislike the most is brass. Each to his own I guess.
On another note. I still don't see the point behind a hollow point .512. I understand "want vs need" but it does bring up the question of purpose. Does the HP serve any real purpose? At least in a 500L or 500L max. Rifle might be different. Maybe someone can educate me here or has real work experience with hp's in this round. Many men and buffalo died from a 50-70 flinging a hunk of soft lead. Seems like the hp just adds another thing to have to deal with and and unknown as far as performance. If a guy want's expansion/deformation wouldn't soft allow be more predictable?

Just received several e-mails to send payments for all the 500 and 475 Linebaugh molds I ordered. Anybody else notified?

I still don't see the point behind a hollow point .512. I agree. You don't want expansion on dangerous beasts or need it on lesser critters.

I just got a Mihec clone of the RCBS 270-SAA. It has to be one of the nicest molds I own, and most of mine are from the various custom makers. It casts beautifully, and they drop out with just the slightest tap. Yeah...it's not made in the US, but it sure as hell isn't make in China, India, Pakistan, etc. His molds are top notch.

I received notification for my 475 and 50 molds as well. Anxious to give them a try as I have only used LBT's in the past. Just wanted to try some HP molds. Don't see a particular need for them in these particular calibers but always fun to try something different.
