Looking at a nice one. Pretty blue and wood checkering. Scope mount with cheap scope. Iron sights still in place. How hard will it be to get screws to go in the holes when the scope mount is removed. What are these things worth?

Dunno. Wouldn't think screws would be a big deal.
Have a Marlin 375 myself. Going on the sale list. Never use it and need the extra room.

I have one, Older top eject. When you say scope mount is it an angle eject or top? Tops seem to go for a bit more. It's a great cartridge that can be pushed pretty hard. 265's at 2000fps is nothing to sneeze at. Prices are all over the place from $400-$900. That said. I wouldn't take $900 for mine.

Fantastic rifles and a fine cartridge, particularly those of pre-safety age. Got mine for $450 from a small town pawn shop that couldn't move it but I have been offered almost double for it on multiple occasions in the past 3-4 years.
