I have a Bowen conversion of an OMBH to 25-20. Well done and a nice shooter, so far. In working up loads with an 85 gr. cast bullet, I have determined that slower powders (4227, H-110 etc.) work better than faster. By "work better", I mean no case set back and easy extraction. I would be interested if anyone has worked with this cartridge in a revolver. Have looked at articles on this cartridge in a rifle, but that is not quite the same.

How does this look? John shot mostly H110 loads. I'll have to dig to see if I still have the data. Todd

Friends all.
I wish this was my revolver. It was built by John Linebaugh on a Single Six. ( Still looking for my data from John ) As I remember, he was using a 60 grain jacketed at upwards to 1600. The 75's worked better as there was a little more resistance and the H110 seemed to work better.
The revolver belongs to a friend in Harrison Arkansas. Some of you folks may know him.

A fabulous small game getter for sure. I wish I had one so bad I can barely stand it. I have high hopes our 257 Jackrabbit will be close enough to run with the fabulous 25-20!

I have a rare factory 10" tapered T/C Contender in 25-20. Loaded with H110 or Lil Gun it will push a 75 grn V-Max at nearly 2200 fps.
It is far from obsolete in my book and my favorite cartridge of all time.
Dream of a midframed Ruger Bisley in that caliber.
