ALL SOLD, wow- thanks guys that was fast!!!
I have a few more chunks, but they have season checks/splits. I haven't had a chance to cut around the checks and see if I'll end up with anything big enough for revolver grips, I'll post those for sale if it works out..................
Also, I did end up with a couple sets that are narrow, some that ended up being 5/16"-3/8" thick and some pieces that aren't book matched. I'd need grip blank dimensions for Bearcats, birds heads, 1911's or anything else that is small or thin.

Sorry guys, I got home races to find that my old water heater had sprung a leak. Did the water heater thing one Christmas Eve at 5 pm. Got the evil eye from a lady at Lowe's when I told her the new hot water heater was my wife's Christmas present! Steve, mind putting all the pictures back up so we can look back someday and compare the grips to the blanks? Might be fun. Tim

Steve,
for 1911 grips I use scales size 3/8" x 1-3/4" x 5" or blocks size 1" x 1-3/4" x 5". 5/16" would work too, especially for thin grips.
for Bearcat shopkeeper grips I use blanks size 3/8" x 1-3/4" x 3-1/2". I imagine standard bearcat grip blanks would be close to the same size.
and for the Ruger Birds head grip frame I use blanks size 7/16" x 2-1/4" x 4-1/4"
of course anything over that would be fine too, when I make my grips I don't leave much room for error so those measurements would be bare minimum.
Zane.

Steve if you decide to hunt down some more walnut I'm still interested in a couple of sets. Looks like you could sell a bunch more with all the interest your post has generated. Hope all goes well with the home repairs.

I'd like to get just one nice set. Maybe people with 2 and 3 sets could wait for others to have a chance? Can't access internet at work except during breaks or lunch.
Edited to add: ok, guys, I feel like a whiny, snot-nosed kid for my comment. I had one of those days at work and saw all the walnut gone and it got to me. I regret even saying anything about it... So, I apologize, and actually feel even worse now that some of the great guys on this board even offered to sell me some of their blanks.
I just want to say this is my favorite place to hang out. Everyone here is so great, and I've learned so much. Enablers, all, but awesome nonetheless. So, thanks. Really.

Hey guys. All payments arrived and all blanks have been shipped. I hope everyone likes them as much as I do, they were all very hard to let go of. Just before I handed them over to the postal worker, I thought about keeping everyone of them Steve

I totally missed them chm- Just like I explained to "dougader" about it via PM...I just can't supply enough primo stuff for everyone, there just isn't enough out there........I work hard to make it look easy, I sift through 100's of pieces just to find 2 or 3 pieces good enough for one of my own sixguns..........and that how I judge walnut, not by grade but how it would look on one of my own guns. steve

This stuff is "show" or "museum" quality. Excellent walnut, Steve. I sure appreciate your efforts in this. When you guys get your blanks fitted to your guns, be sure and post pics so we can drool a little more.
