DGJ is one of my guilty pleasures. Thought I was getting close enough back in 2006 with a Merkel 28ga double but it just ain't the same. The itch for classic British steel is one I will have to scratch some day. Though it will have to be something used.
Always vowed that if I'm ever in NYC, I'd have to see the H&H gun room. Lewis Drake is only about 3hrs away and I've always wanted to spend an afternoon in their shop as well.

Go ahead Tim, try Griffin & Howe while you are there. I'm sure I could be of help in the funds department. Good luck.

At least G&H has guns that are affordable - not doubles but they have a nice WInchester 71 that could be used for a base gun for a 50 Alaskan conversion. Too bad it's in New Jersey - won'thave time to go over there.
I'd have to sell every gun I own just to make a down payment on a Holland & Holland gun. Still, it might be a fun diversion one morning.

Heck, I didn't even know H&H was in NY City....? I don't go to the city unless I'm working for one guy that does most of his services there. I DON'T LIKE THE CITY ONE BIT! Nothing I need or want down there, even if H&H is there I can't afford to even look at'em most likely! No, I doubt I'll be visiting that place. Just not for me (The City)!!!!! Now if it was up north, or westward somewhere I'd be up for a roadtrip Princeout If you get up above the city, give me a hollar..... BigBore44

Sincere thanks to zac0419 and Steve, Steve for first offering to burn CD's of this list of Seyfried articles (until the demise of his CD burner) and now to Zac0419 for posting these pdf's. And again to Steve for directing me to this thread. I had previously read all of these articles and until recently I had all of the Guns & Ammo magazines back to the early 80's. (I will take all my Handloaders, Rifle, & Fouling Shot's with me to the grave!)
Recently I located and purchased a used S&W 629-3 Mountain Gun...27 years after having first seen one in a gun shop in Northern BC. I had no money back then! It was Ross's October 1989 Guns & Ammo article, 'Magnums for Mountain Men' that first piqued my interest in this revolver. (EMK had sunk the hook on the .44 with me, years before that...) And now finally having this Unicorn revolver, more so because so few were brought into Canada, I wanted to re-read all of Ross's articles.
I already have a favourite double cavity H&G #503 for my .44 Keith bullets, and now I will to get an LBT 280 grain WFN.

I see there's been some Ross articles being shared recently, so I wanted to bring this back to the top since I have it book marked.
