Very nice, Tom. I've just picked up a 25-7 from Charles G., haven't fired it yet but I'm looking forward to lots of enjoyable shooting! And my 25-5 is my "Do All" revolver. Good choices! -- Brian

I think the 25 is the best DA revolver ever. I would pick a 25 over any other DA revolver made. Except maybe a Bowen S&W conversion to 45 colt.

Tom, I know my eyes are not what they use to be, but it appears the front sight is missing from the 25.

I have an M29-2 (an early but well used and mis-stored S model with coke grips) and an 8 3/8" 45 Colt barrel that are planned to ship to Jim Stroh to become a perfectly fit 5" 45 Colt. I discussed the project with Bowen as well but I do not own anything done by Stroh so it will go to him. My Christmas present...

It was my eyes after all. I kept going back and looking at your gun and finally it dawned on me I could zoom in so I went up to 150% and low and behold there was a front site sitting on top of that barrel. Boy did I feel dumb!! Nice optical illusion.

Not only your eyes. I don't believe I have ever been able to see the front sits on that gun either.

I bought a 29-3 for $400.00 this week. 4" with rubber and about 90%. The pinned and recessed 29 will not go back into the black hole with the 5" 25-5. You need to get that 25-5 from Jack.

I may ... or the Mtn Gun ... or not ... it is difficult doing one's gun shopping out here in the Land of Only New Plastic Stuff.

That is a nice one. If you would shoot that thing instead of cleaning it all the time character could be added. You need to get that thing brush whipped.
