This set of gunfighter style grips will be heading back to Hamilton Bowen's shop on Monday where he is working his magic on the rest of the gun. I'm anxious to see pics of the finished project. I like working on Mr. Bowens Bisley grip frames because he decks them. Bisley frames are notorious for having a high spot on the inner frame up where the medallions are. It sure makes it easy after he does his thing. But then we all know the man is meticulous in his work.

THEY LOOK GREAT.....THAT ITALIAN OLIVE WOULD ALSO LOOK VERY GOOD ON A HIGH POLISH BLUED SIXGUN......MAY HAVE TO TRY THAT NEXT TIME AROUND....

A question came up on the Ruger Forum about the greenish tint to these grips. In the pic below the one on the left is more of the true color of the grips......and no, I wasn't smoking any of them funny cigarettes when I took the original pictures. I don't know why I didn't notice the color difference. I should have tried a different setting on the camera.

Love the look of nice olive. Those are verrry nice. An upcoming project will be getting olive if I can find the perfect blank.
