Not really... This one has been in the works for coming up on 2 1/2 years. Bowen 5 shot .45 Colt built off a .44 Special Blackhawk. Everything that was done to it is pretty obvious except the addition of a Clements crescent ejector rod which came out well and is a nice touch. Ivory grips Roy Fishpaw. These are the most beautiful grips I personally have ever seen. Perfect in every way, including not being perfect. I just can't say enough about Roy's work. Like many here I've had my share of really special custom (and stock) revolvers but I think my taste and preferences are finally becoming clearer and clearer. Tim got this one's Uncle that inspired me to have it built. This one along with my Dustin .475 will definitely be the last to go.

The lanyard ring on the butt is the "nice touch" for me ! It's something I should consider for my trout/steelhead carry pieces. Ya never know when your gonna be charged by an annoyed rogue male steelhead. Whack ! The hit on your wader, while standing in 2-3ft of moving water, on slippery shael bottom. Down ya go ! Then there was the copperhead that thought, me in mid-stream, would be a good place to take a break from crossing Little Toby Creek. Then, favored trout water, Bear Creek,(Elk Co,Pa.)that was properly named the first time, yup, lots of bears. You get the idea.

agree with all posted...though I'm partial to darker grips on lighter guns, I'd love to have a set of ivories that look as nicely fit as those... & find the blued screws also quite striking BTW... by "last custom" did you mean "latest custom", the Last custom you'll commission, or the last you'd ever sell... or all of the above

Nitre blue screws are a cool accent on a stainless gun. Are they actually screws or slotted pins made to resemble screws? 3 on one side and showing 2 on the other side?

They are slotted except for the bolt blocking screw...I think.
Never took one of his guns apart to tell you the truth.
