Right on! Can somebody post a pic of this holster on with it set up crossdraw? Why sure. My buddy Ray standing over a dead corn bandit. Barranti custom carved LHC. This is the guy Hoover refers to as my "on staff" gunsmith.

Those LHCs look like the ultimate field rig to me, lots of position variability, and looks like it would cover up nicely.

It really does ride just right. Here you can barely see my 7 1/2" Ruger 327 on my left hip.

I see that, there snug, snug is concealable. Do you get a whole new rig for each gun, or just order shucks and use the original belt slide.

Depends on colors I have a few different ones for different rigs but they are all different colors. But if all the same, the slide will work with any

It's only the 7.5" barrel. Still too long??
Maybe it should be for the 6.5" 5 shot...

No. I'm just messing with you. It sits high up on the belt. I'll have to check one of them. Mike would know right off which length is best. Just ask him

I did. Gonna go with his northwest mountain companion (?) instead. He said it and the #5 is better for the longer barrels.
But now I'm wondering if i need crossdraw instead...

Photobucket has it all blurred out from my end. I'm looking for best way to cross draw belt carry a 7.5" and a also a 9.5" Single Six that won't get tangled up in my backpack and the sling with my varmint rifle over my right shoulder, and won't get into the dirt MOST of the time when sitting in a low profile style "turkey" (COYOTE) chair. Doc is making me a NW Mtn Comp for my shoulder rig, but the shoulder rig is a pain with my rifle sling and pack. I'm thinking the extra height on the Longhorn setup might be the fix.

If you are running a pack, you can get a second slide and put it on your waist belt. The slide you are wearing on your pants belt works under you pack and the holster comes on or off easy when you drop you pack you can just unbuckle the holster,(one button really)and put it on your belt. Have Doc cut you a second slide and it's that easy.
This was an old thread, still have the holster and I can send you pics if you IM me your info, I'll show you the LC on my packs. Its still a great set up and has been out west multiple times since this used in this manner.
