Yup that's an outstanding rig for sure and for certain. Mike really is outstanding at making leather into something more than cow hide and stitching.

Those are great rigs. Mine has become my favorite for carrying my Bisley .45 Colt.

Very nice indeed! I can't say it's my favorite because I love all of my Barranti rigs equally, but the LH Companion does ride nicely.

Howell do these work in the field. I like that they are ambi, but also really like the tank rig and high country companion. Are these into your ribs or armpit when sitting for ground hunting?

This is an excellent field holster. It sits up high enough that it's off the ground but not so high it's in your armpit. It's also easy to adjust the butt so you have it right where you want it according to your build, position, or other such. I think Doc's chest rig brings a lot of advantages to the field as well. But for me, the easy on/off of the LHC makes all the difference for ranch chores.

The real right answer would be to have both rigs. I must quality my remarks above by pointing out that I rarely need a jacket much less a heavy coat where I hunt. If I did, my preference might indeed be in favor of the chest rig. S. Texas Javelina, 7mm GNR Contender, 210 yards.
