Good news after speaking with Jim 8/12 PM to see if he would be willing to share the blueprint of his front sights. Jim informed me that he has changed his mind and will continue to offer his front sights going forward.

Aggie01 had some front sight bases that were very similar you might want to check out.
Search the forum or PM him...

when I last talked to Jim about 2 months ago he said he was going to continue supplying his front sights. He was just not taking on any more revolver work. I would just give him a call.

bushog Thanks for the info on Aggie01 sight base I have found the thread and sent him a PM.
King6 That was my hopes but I called him today to order them and he said he was out and would not be making anymore. If I can find one for a pattern who would be the most probable of the smiths to pick this up and run with it? Seems odd that Jim wouldn't continue to offer his parts and tools.

Spillway, I have one of Jims sights in a project box waiting to go to John Gallagher but it is contoured to match a ribbed S&W barrel. If you want, I can send it to you and you can take it to your local guy and see if he can make them only with the bottom contour to match the FA barrel contour. If that would work, let me know where to send it as long as you guy looks at it pretty quickly so it can make it down to John when the rest of the parts go.

kings6, Thank you for the generous offer. A new source for these are needed their just to nice to let them fade away like ......brass Bisley grip frames . My guy isn't local he lives in Houston TX and think you know him. I'am sure he could make these up ,but I should call him Monday and check. I would be happy to PRIORITY this all the way around just PM me with your address. P.S. Will Ken's front sight blade for the FA fit the Stroh base? Thanks, Spillway

Sounds like you are talking about Alan. Give him a call and if he will try to replicate it, I will drop it in the mail to him. Let me know.

I have one but it's with Roy Fishpaw. If noone's provided one for you prior to my grips being done, I'll send it.

I have a Stroh front down at Alan's. You have my name from our sight base deal. Tell him it's in the old model #5 45 colt box of mine.

For me a large piece of the fun of having a custom built is to be part of the design. I have sketched front sights for a couple of my Harton pieces and, of course, he has delivered and they are unique. I suggest you good folks give it a go.
