I have one of Gary's- SS frame's in 475 Maximum . Well made and shoots great . It is the gun I used to take my Red Hartebeest and Cape bushbuck with.

Reeder's BMF caught my eye early on... I'll add one to my "set" when I find one priced right.... Thought I had one early this year but the "protptype" label was valued more by the seller than by me. I do kind of like the idea of leaving those little Ruger Maximums box stock so that the Ruger Forum boys don't get after me to much... Doesn't mean that I'm selling my Gallagher 445 just to get out of a good tar and feathering though...

Logic? I am as logical as an engineer can be... Of course that fine decision making process is out the window when it comes to CJ5s, 1911s, Single Actions, and motorcycles of all kinds.... Decisions about those things come from the heart!

Axe,
How'd you like the feel of the "gunfighter" grip modifications?

The grip modification feels good to me... Shot about 50 rounds of the 400s at 1050 and while I was ready to quit at 50 rounds, I found them pretty much painless... May have misspoke when I called it Reeder's gunfighter grip though.... It is definitely a rounded bisley but I think he might be rounding a XR3-Red to become his gunfighter...

That is probably the best looking Reeder gun I have ever seen.
The butt is rounded differently than on a lot of his others. Maybe it is just that gun style or maybe he has changed altogether. But, years ago, he used to round the front and the back pretty dramatically. This one looks more similar to how Freedom Arms does theirs. I like it better than his old style.

Beware cubrock.... You may be sliding toward the dark side... Keep looking at this one. The true test is yet to come... Later in the week I expect to post pics of one of the original 100 three screw medium frame Reeder #5s.... Keep your sunglasses handy..

I remember when he came out with those #5s. Almost bought one then to display with my first TLA #5 (only one at the time). In the last two years, I've added four TLA #5s to the fold and a Border Special. I'll keep my money handy for those.

I understand Reeders original #5 series ended with the 100 guns... 1/10 of the proposed production of the TLA #5. I have seen 44s and 45s... Haven't seen how many of each bore.

I think the TLA guns will always trump his in desirability, though.
