Guys, having written a few items for publication I learned that no matter how much effort and work you go into writing something, once it gets sent in it is TOTALLY out of the writers hands as to when it gets published and sent out. I am sure no one is more anxious to see the book available than JT so we will just have to wait until he gets word it is done from the production end. I know I for one just file this as one of the things in my normal everyday life to look forward to!=

Amen on this...as a research academic, it is not uncommon to submit an article for review, wait 6 - 9 months for editor/reviewer comments, and go through the cycle again once, if not twice. My pre-dissertation research readiness paper took 2+ years to get through the review process, and once accepted for publication, took another 9 months to make it into print. And that's just for a 25 - 40 page manuscript. I can't imagine what the review/editorial process is for a couple hundred page book.

As someone who's "bumped" this thread in the past, I think most, if not all, of us are just excited about the new book and want to keep excitement up amongst the forum as well. Hope Mr Taffin doesn't take it for anything less, and doesn't view us as needling him. I'm with Kings6; this is totally out of Mr Taffin's hands.

Bump back to the front. I'm doing this for my own benefit so that I don't forget about it. You who are younger don't have to worry about forgetting things. About all I remember is that we were looking for this book last year about Christmas. Now I'm hoping for Christmas this year.

I thought I would give this a pre-Thanksgiving bump. I'm thankful for a lot of things but I fear that Mr. Taffin's book won't be one of them. Hopefully I'll get one for Christmas(a little gift to myself). Not holding my breath.

Well! I didn't get a book about .45's for Christmas so now I'm hoping for a birthday present in July, although I won't mind if it is early.LOL

I don't believe so. I am sure Mr. Taffin is more anxious than we are. I can wait, it just adds to the excitement! I pray that ordering details are announced when the release date is posted. It will be a joy to thank John and tell him how much I appreciate his work!!
