Here's my "Overrun" Model 26-1. These came with smooth Magna-style stocks and lanyard rings, both of which I have carefully stored away! Interesting is the end label of the box, which is marked "Kit Gun" ! Mine currently wears a beautiful pair of Keith Brown Roper stocks!

I love the looks of this S&W M26-1. I've had M25-5's in 4", 6" , and 8 3/8" and a M25-7 in 5".
BUT...BUT...how many of you know the bullet [ BULLET NOT cartridge] that was designed specifically for the S&W M26-1 45COLT sixguns and the Dekalb CNTY Sheriff's DEPT ?? From what little I heard later it was one killing sumbiscuit too.

Surely S&W knows that the 5 inch bbl is one of the most sought after lengths. Wish they would make some in all the N frame cals. Still cant believe I walked away from one of these many years ago! What a boob! GRRRR!

Interesting, Terry. I'd love to hear any details, hints, or info that you can offer about the bullet.

I'll second the sentiment about wanting to know about the bullet and load! Mr Murbach - please do share. Thank you in advance.
