Chunky top strap like a BFR. Basepin latch might make it a pre MR gun. Glad it isn't mine. I'd have to give it to TangoCharlie.

That looks like the frames Gary Reeder was making his BMF and T-Tex customs from. wonder if there are unfinished frames out there because Gary stopped building them (said he can't get parts to finish them). My T-Rex is my favorite gun, fun to shoot, easy to get factory ammo (mine is chambered in 500SW), and not so fancy I'm worried about getting it bloody, dirty, and general wear and tear.  |

Looks like fun to me!  Seems like Reeder is a competent smith, you'd think for the right price he could make any part that he couldn't find. Your 500 looks great, probably the best proportioned 500Mag I've seen. Say foxtrapper, in an unrelated question, have you, by chance, ever had a cartridge case go thru your finger? |
