Saw and spoke to Jim Collins at the Alabama Gun Collector's Association gun show at the Birmingham Cicic Center yesterday. Had not seen him in about 25 years. He looked a little older than the last time I saw him. He is going to come call our bullseye matches at Magic City Gun Club this year. Looking forward to talking with him at matches. He has some revolver and 1911 knowledge in his head I need to extract! For those who don't know who Jim is he is a retired Alabama State Trooper. Only man to shoot a 1500/1500 in the old NRA PPC course in registered competition. He came to bullseye around the same time I did in the late 70s or early 80s. Shot with the 121st ARCOM and the All Army Reserve Team. He is one of the very few 2670 club members too.
