45 Colt load development rounds for the BisHunter. 6 ea, 355gr WFN, 18, 18.5, 19.0gr LilGun. My H110 load for this boolit is 21.5 gr puts the 355er at 1200fps but I've been wanting to work up a LIlGun load for a reliable cold weather round.

Sal, that's a dandy plinking load in the 44 special. Glad you're getting some loading done buddy. I finished up some 223 rounds for my AR & then switched over & loaded some 9mm's for our Marine (ex) buddy Daniel who stayed with us during his Wounded Warrior Hunt a few years back. The 9's are actually for his wife, I'm sending him a bunch of 45 ACP's for his Commander.

My next up loading for the 480 BSBH hit a snag. The cast PC bullets I got in a 3 bullet order, were not sized. After fighting thru 4-5. Flared some more, and had seating plug milled flat to help, but no go. Calipers say they are .480..not the .477 I asked for. I've other bullets but ever shorter time to deal with. Sooo, have gone back to playing with another minimal collateral damage loading. I've dropped 3grs of Bullseye into a handful of 44spec hulls and will fill with plastic airsoft BB's ! Fingers crossed, hard to work the loading press this'a'way.

If the plastic 6mm BB's hold up to being fired am thinking they'll have quite the bounce factor ! Even if they don't hold together, the "grit" hopefully is larger, sharper, more lethal. The goal here is to have something a step up, lethal-wise to the rice loadings I've found sooo many uses for. I still want them to be less damaging than a shotshell loading of lead based projectiles. This idea stems from chasing a mouse around the garage the other day with rice loads. The rice load will kill a mouse but limited to about 3-4ft.. Want a bit more range but there are windows and atvs and gas cans in that garage.. Aluminum BB's ? Such a thing ? Well, will try a test shot today. I'll tape a paper towel to a paper plate, to a triple wall carboard backer and see what the damage is at say 6ft..

Ok, so the plastic airsoft 6mm BB's aren't gonna work for me. Surprisingly they held up fine being launched down a rifled barrel by 3grs of Bullseye and even patterned quite well. The rub is in 44spec only 6 BB's fit. At 9ft all BB's and the two fiber wads stayed on the paper towel/paper plate. Only one pellet made it thru the single layer cardboard backer, the rest either stuck there or hit and fell back out. So, successful on two points, yes. Downside is at 9ft the pattern is already too loose to be sure of a even one hit, let alone the 2 0r 3 I'd like to see. Pattern density too low. This did work out to be a handgun sized version of LE rubber buckshot loading and may be just the thing for your daughters less desirable male satellites. A handgun version of the 12 ga rocksalt loading !

Gonna pull 200 pcs of 38spec brass from the tumbler. These for a nephew with a new SP101 coming to visit late Nov.. I'm thinking CFE and 140gr XTP's. Then back to 480 stuff.
