I loaded 100 rounds of 38 sp wadcutters and 100 rounds of 357 mag. What powder did you use under your wadcutters and do you use "wadcutter" brass or regular ol' brass?

Seancass, I used green dot and I didn't write down the load so I already forgot it. It was in between 38 sp and +p in non wadcutter brass.

I have some brass that has a longer straight section in the sidewall so the WC bullet doesn't run into the web and either bulge the case or deform the bullet.
Google tells me it's a real thing, so it must be!

The thicker web of the mil spec 38 Special seems hard on a WC but outside of that my DE WCs don't seem to care. Loaded 100 rounds of 38 Super for a little more testing this week. Need to drive up to the management area range to get to a 50 yard range if the weather holds out. Thought I'd take the chrono if the skies were clear but I've been having second thoughts on that. Gun functions well and recoils soft. Velocity doesn't matter if it shoots good at 50...

Loaded .357 yesterday, and all my empty .44 Special, .45 Colt, and .45 ACP in the couple days before that. I'll start on the .44 Mag., .480 and .475 Linebaugh this week. Then the bottleneck .225 Win., and .257, 6.5, .309 and .375 JDJ's later this month. I've let this go too long! Anyway, I'm starting to look forward to emptying them all again

Heading for the loading bench to put together ammo for the week. A hundred rounds of 45 ACP on the Dillon 1050 and a hundred rounds of 38 Super on the Dillon SDB supplemented with 100 rounds of SV CCI 22LR generally does me for a week. Almost takes more time to load the primer tubes than it does to load the ammo. Next spring I expect to break 2600 for the first time since my return. Just need to get my slow fire to jell this winter and continue to refine my rapid fire and I'll be there easy. This new 38 Super is still showing out. Settling into my first roll trigger in a Bullseye gun. Slinging a few wild ones but shooting pretty good X ring size groups at 25 yards with it.

Then there is the work fruitcake who is coming over for me to help him fill some 45 Colt cases with a 350 WFN over a full case of H110 and a CCI 350.. For an alloy XR3-Red grip frame Blackhawk too...

Most eventful night of reloading ever! Switched my Dillon 550 from lg primer to small primer. After that fiasco, misplaced my powder die. After that, realized I had the wrong powder bar. FINALLY go around to loading some 38 spl- 3.6gr WST and a 125gr Berry's FP.
