I REALLY like that cylinder. Didn't one of Harold Croft's guns have that style of cylinder?

Yes, Croft had a gun similarly equipped. Sedgely made it for him, if I recall correctly. It was to make reloads faster (you carried an extra cylinder).
I would LOVE to have that one in my TLA collection. Nice score, MC!

That's quite a find. Doesn't even look to be fired much at all. Are you going to shoot it or keep it as is? -Lee www.singleactions.com

Okay. I concede. You win. Same here. What a cool gun! That cylinder style is a cool idea, sort of a cross between a single & double action cylinder. I wonder how well it stays put after having fired a bunch of rounds?

Oh, I'm definitely gonna shoot it. As for now, the gun locks up like a bank vault. There is virtually no forcing cone/cylinder gap. The base pin protrudes through the rear of the cylinder frame just like in a standard single action. The tolerances are so tight, the cylinder can't really go anywhere once the pin is in place.

Absolutely gorgeous and intriguing sixgun! The ejector units on the cylinders look VERY robust.
Okay, ignorant question time so please bear with someone who is not terribly familiar with TLAs. Are BOTH cylinders .45 Colt intended for the quick reload as indicated in other comments or is the second cylinder a different .45 cal chambering?
Max.
