I should've bought that one when I had the chance. Really clean looking Riverhead Abilene....and nice photography too. Let us know how it shoots. -Lee www.singleactions.com

You boys think I will weaken in time don't you? Keep in mind that it took me about 45 years to warm up to a 3 screw Ruger.... Those blue versions do have a charm that a stainless Seville can't come close to don't they....

You can bet that I'll be watching them more closely in the future The bluing is very nice on the one I picked up and from the looks of the one above, that's just the way they did it. The fit and finish is what really intrigued me though. Its tight, very tight, for a gun that even cost several times more. The timing is perfect and the action is smoooooth. I like the Seville that I have but the deep blued abilene is tough to beat. Hate it took me this long to find one hyvltge, any hints as to the serial number range, just curious how close the two guns are? GS

I was going to comment that I didn't like the rough matte finish on your Abilene. ;D Seriously, that is SOME gorgeous finish they put on that piece. We can even see the photog & camera flash reflected on the bbl and the sharpie on the cylinder - just WOW! The trigger looks rather wide if I'm seeing things correctly? Max.

They buffed the hell out of those guns prior to bluing....the result is a finish similiar to Colt's Royal Blue. United Sporting Arms also used deep blue as can be seen on this early 357 Seville: -Lee www.singleactions.com

Nick Vicardi: Master Buffer, used to polish Cadilac Bumpers before heading to Riverhead and then Hauppauge.

I bet six shooters were a little easier to heft around the 'ol polishing wheels than Caddy bumpers. ;D
