David, you and Lee mentioned the Thompson gun. I was lucky enough to put a stick through a 28-a1 the other day. First on semi hitting a five gallon bucket at approximately 200 yards with regularity, and then finish off the stick on “full”. The accuracy of the gun on semi was quite a surprise.

Trapr ***** The Steinway of submachine guns, reckon the Thompson Gun earned its nickname "Chicago Piano” with some affection. Great example of “don’t fight the gun.” Or, as the writer William S. Burroughs said, “It’s an instrument; play it!” Good shooting, by the way. 230 grain hardball dropping like melon out there. Years ago we shot ruby-red tracers, which have a short burnout. Fabulous fun, a real lesson in trajectory. Along with 12 gauge tracers, which an avid waterfowler told me were great for tracking calculating leade. Haven’t seen either type tracer in decades.
