I will go with my Colt Custom Shop 3 3/4 inch .45 with ejector and Eagle one piece genuine pearl grips. As good as it gets. BOB: GEN'L PATTON NOT WITHSTANDING BUT YOU, I AND UNTOLD NUMBERS OF TEXAS RANGERS LIKE PEARL. I HAVE THREE SAAs AND TWO 1911 .38 SUPERs PATTON WOULD NOT LIKE! |

This used to be a 625 with a 5" full lug barrel, but it now wears a 625 Mountain Gun 4" barrel. It also has a nice bead blast finish. I mainly use auto-rim brass with 255 gr LSWC's @ 900 fps.  |

...although this thread did remind me of a .327 Blackhawk languishing in the safe I've mean to turn into a shorter-barreled round butt more or less knockaround pistol to go with my collection of other more or less knockaround pistols...
