Purchased an EMF SAA 45 revolver NIB from a local gunshop several years ago.
Discovered that the timing was off on this EMF SAA's first trip to the range. Took it back to the local dealer who ordered the necessary replacement parts from EMF. Think it was the hand and bolt, but I'm no gunsmith and my memory is likely wrong. Again, this has been several years ago.
Have reminded the dealer about my gun and its repair several times since. After several years, the revolver is still sitting at the dealer awaiting these two parts. The dealer tells me that he talks to EMF routinely and they just haven't had these parts come in.
Would someone else's parts be suitable or do we really need to wait on EMF parts ?
I would like to shoot this gun sometime. Or at least get it repaired before the reading of my last will and testament.

I don't know if your EMF was made by Uberti, Pietta, or Armi San Marco (my guess would be Armi, but ) Check with VTI: www.vtigunparts.com . They seem to have everything and are pretty knowledgeable. If its been years, literally, I would find a new dealer.

I second that on VTI. I just ordered the EMF Great Western II main spring and bolt spring, they had it filled and to me in a couple days.
If its the Pietta EMF, but not the Great Western II (Charles Daly, etc), the Great Western II parts will fit.
