Exactly bill, unless you're having something restored (like I did to a winchester model 12 1 of 1 custom shop gun) t oturn it around and sell it, I really don't think having the factory refinish it is an issue at all, as long as you have the letter to prove they're the ones that did it

I have a TLA .44 Magnum Number 5 that the former owner had partially nickeled (grip frame & loading gate). He thought something was wrong when the parts started turning plum. Obviously it would have been better if the guy had not altered the gun, but I like the nickel grip frame. The nickel loading gate not so much, stands out too starkly in my opinion. At first I thought that the sixgun pictured was flipped around and photoshopped over the catalogues. But then I saw the sixgun in the picture on the catalogue is the same way. What the.....are these sixguns for lefties? What's the story?

Peacemaker, TLA (Texas Longhorn Arms) was Bill Grover's company. Bill surmised that Sam Colt must have been a Southpaw, and made his sixguns for right-handed shooters - in other words, backwards. TLA sixguns are rare, and highly prized by those who are lucky enough to have them. God has blessed me with five of them. John Taffin has written some articles on Grover guns in the past, and I believe he is working on one now. A quick search found this one on Grover's Improved Number Five: www.sixguns.com/range/Grover_Improved.htm. Here's a few we gathered together at this year's Shootist Holiday. Some of these are mine, and some belong to 2Dogs: Tread lightly here, friend - these things get EXPEN$IVE!

INTERESTING! Like my Dad always used to tell me, you learn something new every day if you aren't careful. Nice collection, and thanks for the education.
