In the September 2009 American Handgunner, John Taffin has a fine article on the Mag-na-Port company and process and Taffin's Perfect Packin' Pistol concept.
Also, know Taffin enjoys shooting cast bullets.
Do cast bullets and Mag-na-Porting go together ?
It is a very different system, but seem to recall problems with cast bullets and Dan Wesson's barrel porting back in the 1980s when shooting IHMSA.

I don't seek out porting but have ended up with a few FAs that have been magna ported.... I think the ports are pretty self cleaning with a 454 and 475... Mild stuff might plug them but some sure enough magnum loads will clean it out quickly. Some of the expansion type chamber comps get lead build up from cast bullets. Have to clean it out with dental tools... Now the big Desert Eagle and other gas operated autos with little ports and gas tubes should be a different story... No lead bullets for them... The DW ports would allow lead to lead up under the shroud and make it almost impossible to remove...

They go together just fine. I do sometimes get a little bit of lead deposit on the sight base next to the "Mag-Na-Port" slots but it cleans up easy enough.
The Dan Wesson "ports" were in a barrel that was under a barrel shroud. The Problem occurred when the lead build up would make it difficult to remove the shroud. With that shroud in place, the lead that escaped the ports had nowhere else to go.

I've never had any problems with my 629 PP and 686 PP (which were the first two centerfires I bought when I was a kid). These have the big wide single port at the muzzle. Didn't seem to affect accuracy with cast either as some have suggested.

Looking at a Freedom Arms 97 in 45 with Mag-na-Porting.
Would be tempted to use Oregon Trail cast bullets.

As bigmuddy said, you'll get some buildup on the front sight base but it is easily removed. The buildup shown below was the result of over 1,000 rounds thru a .475 LB and it took maybe a minute to remove. There is no buildup inside the ports after 12,000 + rounds of cast bullets. If you are using fiber optic front sights, they will get dull over time, but the lite pipes are easily replaced. Don't know if there is an accuracy issue as mine was ported when I bought it used. If I found a good deal on a ported gun, I wouldn't let the porting deter me purchasing the gun. Paul

My ported taurus DA guns don't have any problems with lead bullets from 454 Casull on down to 38 snubbies

I only have two ported guns. One is a TC Contender with a .375 JDJones barrel with SSK muzzle brake. That one doesn't get any lead bullets. However, the other, a 629 Performance Center Light Hunter does without problems: Dale53

Groo here The magnaport porting can be used with all types of bullets. The type which is large holes in the top are not for use with glasser or magsafe type bullets.

Mag-na-porting and cast lead bullets cause no real problems unless the lead "spitting" out of the ports hits something... like the front sight base on a 454 Ruger SRH. And its not lead build up that's the problem... it actually ate away material from the under side of the sight base.
I only had that problem with plain base bullets; switching to gas checked bullets took care of the problem.
