I recall seeing a single six in 22 long snapper.
The Kay-chuck is still an option.
Any other options?
Die availability will be weighed heavily on the decision.
Suggestions appreciated.

I thought the Kay-chuck was too long, and the reason the Snapper came about?

I had some backing out issues at a early velocity with the .22 short Hornet. I agree the .25 cal. is a better option. Great .25-20 bullets abound. Less backing out too as the case is almost straight by then. The .277 is perfect but the bullets have zero chance of opening up. A custom FNGC mould would fix it. I have a .224-32 FA that might be closer. I use .32 H&R cases to save time and money. That might be an option. Bob Baker talked about a .257-32 FA but I don't know if he really played with it. Glen Fryzell has an article on the .25 Hornet and I saw a .25 Hornet in an old handloader magazine on a S&W. The Snapper looked like it worked great. I like it!

Do you have any bullet molds that would be interesting in our upcoming 257 Jackrabbit??

There is a round called the 22 squirrel made on the hornet case. The case is cut to a little less than an inch long. The 32 s&w long necked to 22 also fits the Single Six cylinders. The hornet cases are easier formed. Todd at the Woodchuck den in Ohio has 22 Squirrel dies. Kiff at Pacific Tool and Gauge usually has reamers.

how about .270 REN this is my 257 Special... though dies were a custom proposition ? That is extremely cool! I have been fascinated by the idea of a Single Six in .25 Flea for about two years now, but never thought about making it an 8 - shooter!
