I couldn't help it... there I was, cruising the gun show, laughing at the markup on all ammo, and BAM! There on a table before me was a chinese copy of a winchester 12 gauge lever gun. The wood was decent, stained dark, and unlike previous replicas it actually FIT and looked like a stock, as opposed to a 4x4 post with a buttpad. Action was not smooth, exactly, but when worked briskly everything seems to move as it should. I haven't been this excited about a shotgun since I was 12. Fortier wrote these up for Shotgun News awhile back... should be fun to tinker with.

I was looking at one of those Chinese copies a while back. Really interesting. The thing that kept me from buying it were several online reviews that said they had ejection problems. I am looking forward to hearing how she works.
