The thing that really scares me about people like that is that a majority of the public vote them into office. It's not just them... it's the people!

In printed form and without the entire transcript her comment can be taken out of context.
Listen to it again. She's not saying that she herself doesn't want to be confused with facts. She's suggesting that "in this time period it's just like (other people think), don't confuse me with facts."
It was an ineloquent way for her to phrase the comment. She is prefacing her next statement as if to imply that she has the facts and others don't want to hear them.
Believe me, I'm not in her court. But I don't wanna use clips from a video and twist the spoken words to represent something other than what the speaker intended for us to hear.
The other side does that. We ought not.

Sheesh. That phrase used to be funny. Taken out of context or not,any time somebody can stand there with a straight face and say " Don,t confuse me with Facts. ", theres a problem. A huge problem.

Don,t confuse me with Facts. Even though she uttered the words, she was not stating that she didn't want to be confused with facts. It's not what she meant. Just as you and I, having written the very same words in these posts, don't want them cut and pasted out of context as a statement attributed to us. For instance, no one should be able to read what is in the box above this post and imply that Muttly is a person who doesn't want to be confused with facts.....even though he wrote the words. Maybe I'm not making clear sense of my thoughts. Enough from me already.
